What does Back To Wall
mean?
Back To Wall or BTW describes a bathroom fixture like
a toilet that is fitted directly to the surface of a
supportive wall or item of furniture.

A bathroom
vanity unit is a piece if furniture made of wood and
either painted several times with gloss finish paint
giving it a really shiny smooth surface or the wood is
dressed with vinyl. A ceramic basin tends to sit fixed
on top of the unit. The pipe work are hidden inside
the unit. A vanity unit is ideal for small to large
bathrooms and for en suites and bedrooms.
What does Close Coupled mean?
Close Coupled is used to describe a style of toilet
wherein the cistern attaches directly to the pan and there
is no gap between them.
What is a Cistern?
A Cistern is the compartment
at the back of a toilet that contains
the water needed for flushing. It tends to be concealed
inside a wooden unit part of the fitted furniture or a
free standing unit.
What does Corner Fitting mean?
Corner Fitting describes a bathroom suite specifically
designed to fit a corner space.
What does Counter top mean?
Countertop or surface top is used to describe a
washbasin that sits on the surface of a vanity unit or
bathroom furniture.
What does Semi Recessed mean?
Semi recessed is used to describe a washbasin that
hangs over the front edge of the furniture unit on which
it sits.
What does W.C. mean?
W.C. stands for ‘water closet’, but is more widely
known as a toilet. I used to think it meant women and
children, but that's me.
