Profilia Village

What a lovely little village this is. I tell you to get to see
all these villages it took us the whole day, but it was worth it.
You can drive around the island of Rhodes in about 8 hours with stopping
at each place for a bit. If you are staying in a hotel in the
South of Rhodes lets say Lindos or Pefkos or even Faliraki (the good
part) South Rhodes is at your door step.
Don't forget to visit Rhodes Town and
Lindos Castle. Make sure you stay in Rhodes town the whole
day. Visit the old and new town.

Profilia Village
The graphical village of Profilia, located in the
mountains probably got its name from the fact in is located on the roads
that guide you to the middle of the island of Rhodes. At the
church of Saint George you will find wall paintings dated 1017 AD.
The traditional houses of the village are built the traditional Greek
way, are made of 1 big room and the rood is kept up by beams and a great
arch. All the walls are decorated with Greek style plates.
