Intranet browser viewing of video
For many video systems we design, pure browser-based
viewing right across a company's LAN is asked for. Our
'Alpha' system pages are a family of HTML pages
offering multi-picture and single-picture pages,
camera steering controls and selectors, but can also
include maps, floor plans, site plans, or even aerial
photographs, to realise a very easy-to-use viewing
system.
|
|
Click-icons within the site maps or aerial images can
be used to take you directly to a camera view page or
pop-up, so that even those unfamiliar with the system
can be using it in minutes.
We design custom 'page sets'
We can design a custom 'page set' for your application
by liaison with you, and build into the page set
images from your site to meet your own needs.

The IPTX Viewing Interface
|
VMS020 & VMS120 View / Record / Playback tools
These entry-level tools allow you to view pictures and
record video from all of our IP cameras on a standard
PC. If you are using our IP200 Dome, you can remotely
steer and zoom the camera over the LAN - or even
through the internet from a hundred miles away. |
VMS020 supports the Sirrus range of H263 cameras, like
IP100 and IP200, and VMS120 is the equivalent tool for
use specifically with Axis cameras and servers.

IPVR Integral Webserver

IPTX-500 Network Video
Adaptor |
|
IPVR - IP Digital Video Recorders
The IPVR-100 series are the world's first
digital video recorders expressly designed for IP
Cameras. IPVR is a fully "turnkey" video recorder,
an entirely self-contained unit which records
video to either an integral hard disc OR to
external network-attached file storage devices
such as NAS.
IPVR offers a scalable range of viewing options.
IPVR has an integral webserver offering intranet
viewing of cameras using no more than a browser,
and the recorded archive can be viewed using
either a supplied Java applet (requiring NO
installation of code on viewing PCs) or using an
installable viewer application.
IPVR can record and view PAL cameras by linking
them to a Sirrus IPTX Network Video adaptor, or a
range of video codec types. Contact Sirrus
Technical for more information.
IPTX - Network Video Adaptors for Conventional
CCTV Systems
The IPTX-500 series are Network Video Adaptors
designed specifically to make connecting a
"legacy" PAL CCTV system to a LAN simple.
|
|
|
IPTX has two separate video codecs, plus an analogue
input switch. The unit is connected using "loop
through" video connections to the PAL inputs of any
standard CCTV system, and the codec pair deliver a
bandwidth-conservative view to any PC across the LAN.
The viewer application which connects to IPTX offers a
'mosaic' view of up to 16 camera pictures as an
overview, and clicking on any of these brings a live
video stream (in as little as 200Kbits/sec of
bandwidth) to the large image port in the top right of
the viewing tool (see GUI photo).
Cameras linked to an IPTX can be digitally recorded
and archived using the companion IPVR product (see
above) - a single viewing tool can then offer both
archive playback and live viewing, from anywhere on
the LAN or WAN.
Since it is designed to work with restricted
bandwidths, IPTX is ideal as a Remote Vision
tool - it can give remote access to a CCTV system from
hundreds of miles away using a PSTN, ISDN, or ADSL
connection. Contact Sirrus Technical for more
information.
TRUE VIRTUAL VIDEO MATRIX MS2000
VMS2000 is a true Virtual Video Matrix which offers
viewing, recording, switching and control for the
largest CCTV systems - from 50 to 6000 cameras. Both
standard PAL and IP cameras can be accomodated, and
the analogue video switching matrix normally required
in a large CCTV system, is replaced entirely by
packet-switching in the the IP network.
The remarkable large-screen VMS2000 GUI allows an
operator to keep an overview of up to 100 camera views
at a time on-screen as cameos, and choose to see any
two (or more) of these as larger live images. The
100-image cameo group can be instantly selected from
up to 60 such pages.
